General Rules |
|
This Terms of Service is applied to all software products of Asterworld.
You must agree with this Terms of Service, if you use a product of Asterworld.
You can not use a product, if you do not agree with this Terms of Service. |

| 2. |
Rights |
|
Asterworld (Representative: Dai Kameda) holds the copyright of products. |
|
If the type of software is free, you can use it without getting permission
of the author. You have to buy the License Key, if the type of software
is shareware and you use it continuously. |
|

| 3. |
License Types |
|
When you buy a product, please select either of the following license types. |

| Standard License |
All customers can select this license type. |
| Personal License |
Personal customers can select this license type. Prices were set up low
for personal customers, however the purpose of use of the product is limited
to a personal level. You have to select "Standard License" if
you are a legal person or use a product in a business purpose. |

License Key |
|
You have to obey the following regulations, if you buy License Key. |
|

Standard License |
|
The right to use the License Key is restricted to the following range. |
|
|

A person who paid price, and relatives living together in the same house. |
|
* |
A legal person who paid price. |
|
|
You can use the License Key on two computers per one license. |
|
|
| 4-2. |
Personal License |
|
The right to use the License Key is restricted to the following range. |
|
|

A person who paid price, and relatives living together in the same house. |
|
|
You can use the License Key on two computers per one license. |
|
|
|
| 5. |
Source Code |
|
You have to obey the following regulations, if you buy Source Code. |
|
| 5-1. |
Standard License |
|
The right to use the Source Code is restricted to the following range. |
|
|

A person who paid price, and relatives living together in the same house. |
|

A legal person who paid price. |
|
|
You must not disclose all or part of the source code which bought from
Asterworld, for a third party who is not included in the above range. |
|
The number of developers who can use the source code that you bought from
Asterworld is as follows. |

You can distribute or sell the compiled (built) application software that
was developed using the source code that you bought from Asterworld. When
you sell such software, you do not have to pay an additional charge. We
do not demand to you that you display the copyright of Asterworld. |

Can use classes that are included in the source code for VB 6.0, in a VBA
project. You have to lock it so that users cannot see the source code,
if you distribute the software that was developed by VBA. |
|
You have to obey the following regulations if you distribute the software
that developed using the source code which bought from Asterworld. |
|
|

You cannot release software that may compete with software that Asterworld
provides. |
|
* |
If you distribute a class library (dll) that developed using the source
code which bought from Asterworld, you cannot show the manual that explained
about details of the class library. |
|
|
The above regulations are applied only when you distribute software to
the general public. Distributing to the general public means the following
situations. |

|

Distributing or selling it at a web site, a publication, a shop, etc. |
|
* |
Providing it to many people by another way. |
|
|
|
| 5-2. |
Personal License |
|
The right to use the Source Code is restricted to the following range. |
|
|

A person who paid price, and relatives living together in the same house. |
|
|
You must not disclose all or part of the source code which bought from
Asterworld, for a third party who is not included in the above range. |

The number of developers who can use the source code that you bought from
Asterworld is as follows. |

| 6. |
Version Up |
|
You can get the latest version of a product for the stated period. The
free version up period and requirements are different by an option selected
at the time of buying. |

Can upgrade it free for 6 months from a date of purchase. If prices of
products are revised, even if it is during the free version upgrade period,
you may have to pay for a part of the product price. |

Can upgrade it free for 3 years from a date of purchase. Can upgrade it
free for 3 years, even if prices of products are revised. |

You have to pay a half of the price displayed on the latest price list,
if you want to get the new version after the free upgrade period expires. |

If you upgrade it paying the price, the free upgrade period is set up anew.
The free version upgrade period that will be newly set up is the same as
the new buy. |

| 7. |
Upgrade to Higher Grade Edition |
|
We estimate price for upgrade individually. |
|
|
| 8. |
Change of License Type |
|
Can change it to Standard License later, if you selected Personal License
when bought the product. We estimate price for such change individually. |
|
|
| 9. |
Transfer of Rights |
|
You have to report it at the time of buying to us, if the buyer of the
product is not a user. |
|
You can not transfer the usage right of the product that already began
use to the third party who is not included in the stated range by Terms
of Service. |
|
|
| 10. |
Cancel |
|
You can cancel an order only when you do not get products yet. Asterworld
sends the information (License Key, or URL for downloading the products)
about products to the customer by e-mail. You cannot cancel the order after
receiving this e-mail. |
|
We do not accept return and refund after the delivery. You must pay the
entire price, even if defects were discovered after having bought a product. |
|
|
| 11. |
Support |
|
Support for user is few. |
|
A bug report is welcomed. However, you may have to wait a long time until
bug is fixed. There is no guarantee that all bugs are fixed. |
|
|
| 12. |
Immunity From Responsibility |
|
Please use software at your own risk. Asterworld do not take responsibility
for any damage that may result from using the software. |
|
There is no guarantee that the software can run in all system environment. |
|
|
| 13. |
Competent Court |
|
A court of law exercising jurisdiction of the location of the copyright
holder handles all disputes about the product. |
|
|
| 14. |
Revise of Terms of Service |
|
This Terms of Service may be revised. |
